Rooted in his dual musical foundation, Lahouti’s works explore the dialogue between tradition and modernity, weaving personal reflection with structural experimentation. His music often mirrors his lived experiences—conveying both the intimacy of introspection and the expansiveness of cultural memory.

In Aqrab-e Zulf Kaj, the composer turns inward toward emotional depth and abstraction, while Mashin-e Mashti Mamdali suggests a reemergence—a playful return from that introspective space. This continuous interplay between openness and incompletion forms the essence of Lahouti’s artistic vision, positioning him among the most thoughtful voices in contemporary Iranian composition.

CambiataArts Records has published Timeless Melodies of Iran, a thoughtfully curated Album by composer Saeed Lahouti, offering a contemporary re-examination of classic Iranian songs through the expressive pairing of voice and piano. Performed with emotional depth by Shaghayegh Bagheri and Aline Tashchian, the collection revisits pieces such as “Tak Derakht,” “Ashegham Man,” and “Mashin-e Mashti Mamdali.”

Lahouti approaches these works not as nostalgic relics but as living, evolving experiences, exploring their emotional and cultural essence through a phenomenological lens. Bridging tradition and modernity, the EP evokes shared memory while offering a renewed sense of presence—where each note becomes an act of rediscovery and reflection.
